Peter Hathaway is a Product Designer based in Cardiff, Wales.
For eight years, he has worked as Technician Demonstrator for the Product Design Programme at Cardiff School of Art & Design, UWIC, where he provides student support across all elements of the Product Design Process; research, ideation, drawing skills, prototyping, CAD and Rapid Manufacture.
He is interested in all-manner of creative disciplines and especially excited by the coming-together of complimentary and/or disparate skills sets, via cross-disciplinary, collaborative projects, for the creation of innovative and sometimes unexpected works.
Peter has contributed his skills in CAD and Rapid Manufacture to many such collaborative projects with students and practitioners from disciplines as diverse as Ceramics, Textiles, Performance Art, Fine Art, Architecture and Graphic Design.
He believes in the power of design practice as a force for positive change – for making people’s lives better – and hopes to focus his design practice on tackling humanitarian issues.
Peter’s hobbies include keeping (urban) chickens, outdoor fitness, riding his folding bicycle and drinking coffee!
